Description
Black silicon carbide is produced from quartz sand and high quality anthracite/petroleum coke under high temperature in and electric resistance furnace. It looks black and has a micro hardness of 2800-3300kg/mm2. Abrasive tools made of it, are fit to grind metals and non-metals materials of low tensile strength, for example, gray cast iron, brass, alumina, stone, leather and hard rubber etc. It can also be used for refractory purpose or in electronic industry.
