Description:

Calcium aluminate is an inorganic salt with the chemical formula 3CaO · Al2O3, which is a white cubic crystalline system. Relative density 3.038, heated to 1535 ℃ for decomposition. Calcium aluminate is insoluble in water, but soluble in acid. Calcium aluminate is mainly obtained by reacting sodium aluminate with calcium chloride and calcium hydroxide. It is widely used in the manufacturing of concrete accelerators, rubber, paper, and flame retardants for synthetic resins. Calcium aluminate is widely used in the manufacturing of refractory materials and cement. At the same time, it is also an ideal raw material for producing water purifiers, especially in the production of polyaluminum chloride. The acid dissolution method can save a lot of manpower and electricity, and can greatly reduce costs. It also has the characteristics of simple process equipment and easy operation.

Classification:

Calcium aluminate is an ideal raw material for producing polyaluminum chloride. Calcium aluminate products are divided into three categories: water treatment, steelmaking slag removal agents, and high alumina cement. The production method of calcium aluminate is to crush bauxite and limestone in proportion to form balls, send them into a rotary kiln, forge and cool them at 1300 ℃, and then crush and package them to produce calcium aluminate products.

Calcium aluminate mainly uses acid dissolution method to produce water purifiers, which can save a lot of manpower and electricity, and greatly reduce costs. It also has the characteristics of simple process equipment and easy operation, and has the following advantages:

1. As a raw material for water purifiers: Calcium aluminate powder is the main raw material for water purifiers, and its main components are calcium oxide, aluminum oxide, and iron oxide. This compound has strong activity, and using acid dissolution one-step method to produce water purifiers can save a lot of manpower and electricity, and significantly reduce costs. In addition, its production process equipment is simple and easy to master.

2. Application in ladle refining: Electric fused calcium aluminate (pre melted aluminum calcium slag) is mainly used in LF furnace, open hearth furnace, and converter ladle refining. It can effectively remove impurities such as sulfur and oxygen in the molten steel, reduce the content of harmful elements and impurities in the steel, and is suitable for the production of ordinary carbon steel.

3. Application in building materials: Calcium aluminate can be used to manufacture cement. Calcium aluminate cement containing calcium aluminate nano whiskers has a high specific surface area and good dispersibility in castables, which helps to reduce the amount of calcium aluminate cement in castables and achieve low cement content in refractory castables.
