Silicon Nitride (Si₃N₄) is produced by nitriding silicon powder or sintering silicon raw materials, available as gray powder or dense ceramic parts. It boasts ultra-high strength and hardness, self-lubricating wear resistance, ultra-low thermal expansion, outstanding thermal shock resistance, acid & alkali corrosion resistance, stable performance at high temperature, insulation and light weight. It has less brittleness and far better resistance to cold & heat shock than common alumina ceramics.
